I wish...

I wish I could see who votes for what on my lovely poll (see righthand side of the screen- if you haven't already voted, GO VOTE!)

HOW IN THE WORLD IS MAN IN THE MIRROR BETTER THAN DIRTY DIANA!?!

I guess technically, since it's my customized poll... I could only put potential answers that I like. But that's not very politically correct of me, huh? Or maybe I'm just mostly upset that I've got readers who have, hmm, what's a polite way to word this? Readers whose taste isn't quite as amazing as mine. ;)

That's all I had for tonight. You may now continue on with your regularly scheduled evening.

Caution: Serious Post Ahead...

Today has just been one of "those" days... Just a smörgåsbord of issues and heavy thoughts and I'm exhausted.  In fact, I should be asleep but here I sit!

Started out the morning great-- up & dressed earlier than I expected and go out to the car-- flat tire.  *sigh #1*
So I drive to the gas station & put some air in it (yes, I know how to do this myself- I'm not THAT girlie!)

Of course this is my first day back to work since Adam was home... So my wonderful mother in law, who was going to be keeping Fallyn for me, said she'd come up to the tire place & let me take her car to work...

The exchange was made -- I go to work in MIL's shiny red car & she's going to take Fallyn home shortly with her, in my car.  No big deal.  Right?

Until they call & say that now my car won't start and I need a new battery. SERIOUSLY!?  $100+ later, MIL and Fallyn have a car with fully-aired-up tires and a brand new battery (which better be made of gold for $100!).

I really try hard not to gripe too badly about my poor car... I know that Adam gave up his beloved convertible to buy the "grocery-getter, soccer mom mobile" which is my Honda Pilot.  But I've had nothing but horrible luck with this car from the start.  From the issues with the DMV about the registration & inspection, to the cruise control randomly not working, to the buttons on my steering wheel not always working for controlling the radio, to my horn no longer working...

Side-note: The buttons on the steering wheel and the cruise no longer work AT ALL. And Honda wants to charge me $180 to do a diagnostic test on it to see if the issues are covered by my warranty.  Makes sense huh??!

Anyways-- after work, went to pick up Fallyn and exchanged cars again.  Going thru the drive-thru to pick up some dinner from Taco Bell, and find that the auto-window-roll-down button no longer works.  (Yes that's the official technical term for that button, hush).

I just give up.  Honda-50,000pts vs Jennye- 0pts.  I fold, I give, Uncle, I quit, I surrender, I concede, I'm waving my white flag, I have no fight left, I retreat. I'm throwing in the towel. Maybe if I roll over & play dead, my car will realize the fight is no longer fun and retreat in victory & leave me be.

I even bought a cupcake for lunch. And by "a cupcake", I mean two.  It didn't help. And neither did the retail therapy that I did.  I might or might not have bought these shoes:

(Hint: I did)

But to no avail.  My car is still hating me and tomorrow I'll make another lovely car note payment and be happy that it still works at all, right?

I Love Lady Gaga

So I just finished watching the VMA's and Lady Gaga RACKED UP!  I am so happy!!!
She is so extremely talented.  Yeah she dresses weird and is kind of out there, but she's passionate about what she does & you can tell that she puts her entire heart into it.  I'm happy to be one of her little Monsters :) And if you can find pictures where she's not got her face all covered up, she's quite beautiful as well.

I was proud of Taylor Swift for (naturally) taking the high road and performing one of her beautiful songs that's coming out on her new cd in October and not stooping to Kanye's level to retaliate against last year's VMA drama. But Kanye did that for himself pretty well at the end, singing a song about giving a toast to all the douchebags, @ssholes, jerk off's & scumbags. A highly appropriate song for him to sing ;)

I could have totally done without Chelsea as the trashy announcer, could have had less of Nicki Minaj's booty (is that REALLY all her's???!), Usher KILLED it as usual, Eminem rocked it as well as Linkin Park... Oh and I watched some of my friends sadly develop Bieber fever.  So he can play the drums? And dance? And he seems sweet and sincere, like someone's little brother? Doesn't mean I like him. I refuse to have Bieber fever!  Talk to me once he's done with puberty and his voice changes and THEN we'll see where he stands at that point.

Side note: His mama needs to cut his hair!

Nothing else really stands out to me.  The Cowboys choked tonight, so that's the only thing I missed by watching the VMA's.  But I could have told you that was going to happen anyways.  So for tonight- Go Redskins!!

Here, have a cupcake ala gaga:

PS- Go Vote- Poll on the right!

I've been tagged...

So the wonderful, uncensored, perverted, wet-rug hating, beautiful preggo Mal (see her here!) tagged me to list 7 things about myself.  So.... here we go:

1.  I am obsessed with jeans. This is actually a pretty old picture of SOME of my jeans. There's more now, of course.

2.  I love Reality TV.  Thankfully, my hubby will watch a lot of it with me (Jersey Shore and Real World and Big Brother, to name just a few).  Fallyn also watches it with me :)  It's only fair, I mean I watch Dora the Explorer and Spongebob with her!

3.  I truly have an obsession with cupcakes. But, it's been weeks since I've BOUGHT any. Now, my mom made some while Adam was home but I don't count those ;)

4.  I don't think I could live without my iPhone. And I have a feeling that it will only be worse when I move away from home once Adam is back from deployment.  I feel like it's my lifeline to everyone I love.  And it has some pretty nifty apps & stuff too.

5.  I love music.  That's one thing that can almost instantly cure my bad mood-- a good song.  (That, and Fallyn's toothless smile)

6.  I sometimes get tired of people telling me how "strong" I am.  I chose to date and get married to someone in the military and we chose to have a child when we did, knowing that he was going to be deploying.  It's not a matter of being "strong" or "tough", it's just me doing what needs to be done for my family.  I'd rather be called Responsible. I mean, what else should I be doing, besides being loyal to my husband and taking care of our child??

7.  I could eat sushi EVERY SINGLE DAY and be a happy woman.

That's it!  It took me FOREVER to come up with these 7 things.  Thanks alot Mal!!  I'm not tagging anyone else because I'm a rebel and don't wanna play by the rules!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

I'm baaaaaaaaaack!

I know I know I know, you've been missing me terribly. It's understandable.

Sorry Jushy, I put off closing this poll as long as possible but the TV Guilty Pleasure winner is Teen Mom, with 54% of the votes.
Coming in a close second place was Jersey Shore with 37% & a distant third was Big Brother @ 33%.

I must confess that mine is Jersey Shore.  I love it.

That's it for now... I'm off to figure out a new poll and to type up a blog about R&R!

Ooooh Ooooh, here's the Cupcake of the Post:
